Questions to ask a realtor when looking to sell a home

In this ever-shifting Nashville real estate market, when it comes to your real estate transaction, partnering with the right agent for your situation is more important than ever. When it comes to selling your home, I recommend interviewing multiple agents. After all there are a little over 12,000 of us to choose from in middle Tennessee alone!

Here are a few great questions to ask:

  • Are you a full-time realtor? The market is very different then it was 12 months ago. If real estate is your agent’s side gig, they may not be in tune with market shifts and particular strategies you may need for negotiating today vs. 12 months ago. Strategy is so important.

  • What is your marketing strategy to get my home sold? Invite them to walk you through their marketing plan! A sign in the yard and photos with a cell phone are not going to cut it in todays market.
